What a great weekend starting with soccer on Saturday and Dayboro Day on Sunday. The weather really held up for us. I would like to thank all the mums and dads who helped out at the soccer stall during the course of the day and to all that participated in the march. I was proud to see all those who marched having a great time and picking those faces in the crowd they knew. It was also great to see that our club entered the waterless raft race with the energetic crew trying their hardest as they dashed through the centre of town. Well done!
I would personally like to thank Caroline, her son and Juliet for setting up our stall for Dayboro Day. It was early and a little chilly out and about at that time of the day. Michele, Kim and Tanya for making the bouyant raft for the race. A kind hearted thanks to all those I have not mentioned. You know who you are. Thanks.
Watching several games at Samford on Saturday, certainly shows that training and practice is paying off. Teams are working well together. All those happy smiles highlight the enjoyment that both boys and girls playing team sport are having, plus the smiles and loud vocal support from mums and dads.
Thanks to those players who stepped up a level and played for those teams who were short on players. Well done.
